We are please to announce our Spring 2010 Soccer Clinics will be getting under way next week.

Location: Glendale Sports Complex

Time: 5pm-6pm

Starts: March 3rd-May 26th

Day: Every Wednesday

CLINICS

Junior School of Excellence: Ages 5-7 yrs

The objective of this program level is to develop each participant into a more skillful player by utilizing dynamic activities and fun games in order to provide an exciting learning environment. The idea is to encourage these young players so that they look forward to coming out to the soccer field.

School of Excellence: 8-10 yrs

The level program focuses on increasing technical ability through fun technical games very similar to the junior school of excellence however at this level, our coaches focus more on technical repetition to improve overall ability. The players must perform the skill being taught with 100%accuracy before instruction on a new skill begins.

Premier Level: 11-14 yrs

The premier program is designed to teach the game from a technical and tactical perspective. The kids are put into a 1vs 1, 2 vs 2, and 3 vs 3 games and provided instruction on how to better improve their game through tactical awareness strategies. Whereas the kids in the younger models are put into fun games and encouraged to improve their ball skills without the use of scrimmage games, the premier program applies short sided game situations to better improve the players’ game.

Speed Academy 11-18 yrs

Implemented by stages:

Stage 1. Footspeed in a 1×1, 2×2, 4×4 area focusing on decreasing foot to ground contact time. Small incremental movements in linear and lateral directions. Improving the players first step is also a focal point.

Stage 2. Focuses on footspeed and first step in open area . Direct progression from Stage 1. Area is 10×3 area

Stage 3. Stage 1 and 2 combined with a ball at the players feet to improve foot speed on the ball. Focus on is to improve tricks on the ball.

Launcher Fit Strength and Conditioning: 11-18 yrs

Performed to improve overall cardiovascular stamina, with the use of ladders, cones, trampolines, speed bands, parachutes, hill work.
